A sneak preview of some baskets I will have at Sheep shearing day on April 4, 2009 at Thistle Cove Farm. It should be a fun day for all, sheep shearing, good food, arts and crafts of many styles. Plan to come.

15th Annual Sheep Shearing Day
Lost Arts Guild members will demonstrate and sell their traditional Appalachian crafts on 10 April 2010 at the 15th Annual Sheep Shearing Day at Thistle Cove Farm.
The event begins around 9 a.m. when the shearer arrives to shear the rare and primitive Shetland sheep and Romney, Merino and crossbred sheep. He finishes around noon or 1:00 p.m. but LAG members continue to demonstrate until around 5:00 p.m.
Wear comfortable shoes, layered clothing and bring a camera,; admission is free and parking alongside the road. Hot food and beverages to be sold by folks in the community. Service dogs only please, this is a working farm.
Photo opportunities abound and it's a great day on the farm!
